Pablee Wong, MC, RCC, RMFT, RPT-S
Pablee holds a Masters degree in Counselling. She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor of BC (RCC) with BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, Registered Marriage & Family Therapist (RMFT) and AAMFT Approved Supervisor with the American Association for Marriage & Family Therapy, Registered Play Therapist – Supervisor (RPT-S) with Association for Play Therapy and Certified Play Therapist - Supervisor (CPT-S) with The Canadian Association for Child & Play Therapy.
Pablee has previously worked in Hospital, Mental Health, Public Health as well as Private Practice settings. With cross-cultural backgrounds & experiences, she is committed to support clients who are confronted with various challenges in life. Pablee has extensive counselling experiences working with children, adults and couples in various settings; and her work is influenced by the family system perspective and the attachment theory. She provides play therapy, filial therapy, individual counselling and family therapy.

- Pre-natal & Post-natal Losses or Adjustment (miscarriage, stillbirth & post-partum adjustment)

- Conners Early Childhood Assessment (Developmental Milestones, Behaviors & Emotional Problems)
- Conners Behavior Rating Scales (Behavior, Emotions, Social Problems, etc)
- Parenting Stress Index (identify areas of children & parents contributing to parental stress)
Pablee believes that individuals have significant impact on each other in their relationships & family system. It is her world view that individuals could become emotionally healthy when given a safe, accepting, and nurturing environment with necessary boundaries. Through secure and meaningful relationships, people become content and confident. They can develop long lasting relationships with others.
In the process of counselling, Pablee facilitates her clients in exploring their current challenges, searching for alternatives and utilizing their inner potentials.
When working with children in play therapy, she adopts a child-centered counselling approach and practices evidence based intervention. As an “ordinary devoted mother,” (Winnicot, 1946, 1966), Pablee believes that every parent has the natural capacity to care for their children. She provides play-based therapy intervention for children with developmental, emotional and behavioral challenges. She is trained in helping children with trauma, child abuse as well as divorce adjustment issues.
